Tales and sounds from Ireland
Marina Katsari, David Faure Brac, Christine Giraud and Vaggelis Gettos meet again in Nicosia and invite their friends to a unique Irish musical storytelling experience in the most atmospheric venue of Nicosia, with free entrance and subtitles available in English.
The multinational crew which has in common its passion for folk traditions, will tell Celtic stories of magic and play the identical music from Ireland, for only 2 performances, on 25 and 27 January 2018, in the Medieval Kasteliotissa Hall.
Marina Katsari, storyteller, known in Cyprus for her multiple commitment to the art of storytelling and also her particular synergies with musicians from various music fields, co-acts with David Faure Brac, multi-instrumentalist from France, dedicated to Irish music, the Franco-Danish singer Christine Giraud and the Greek musician Vaggelis Gettos to set up a dialogue between Celtic tales and traditional Irish tunes.
The performance is supported by the Embassy of Ireland in Cyprus and the permission to play in the venue is provided by the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Cyprus.
