Tall Paul & Gavyn Mytchel
One of the U.K.'s most popular DJs during the 1990s, Tall Paul attained his populist status with his trendsetting shift from house in the early '90s to progressive house and trance in the late '90s. His DJing career began in 1987 at the age of 16; soon after, he had his own pirate radio show, Touchdown FM, and quickly managed to secure a slot on the then popular Sunrise FM. In 1990, he found himself the resident first at Trade and then the Zap Club. Two years later in 1992, he released his first production, "Love Rush," and later would go on to produce a string of successful dancefloor records: "Rock Da House" with Red Jerry, "Deeper" and "Train of Thought" as Escrima, and "Let Me Show You" as Camisra. By the late '90s, Paul continually ranked among the top DJs in countless U.K. magazines, hosted a Saturday night radio show on Kiss FM, signed a record deal with Ministry of Sound, and found himself traveling around the world. His album deal with Ministry of Sound resulted in a series of mix CDs, including multiple volumes of the Dance Nation series as well as the inaugural release in the Headliners series.
Resident for The Gallery at its weekly home of the Ministry of Sound, Gavyn Mytchel continues to provide the perfect accompany to the world’s biggest and best djs at the UK's busiest club night. Ending 2008 by warming up for the New Years Gallery alongside Danny Howells, Sister Bliss and Above and Beyond, 2009 sees Gavyn pushing his electronic inspired mix of deep house, progressive and tech alongside Timo Maas, Hernan Cattaneo, Armin van Buuren and Paul Oakenfold to name but a few headliners of late at Gallery.
