The Audience - NT Live
The European Capital of Culture Pafos2017 connects Pafos with the artistic and cultural world through the National Theatre Live programme, which broadcasts the best theatrical productions of the Royal National Theatre of London.
The first screening is one of the greatest successes of the Royal National Theatre, The Audience, and sees Helen Mirren in the portrayal of Queen Elisabeth II. The play is centred on the scheduled weekly meeting at Buckingham Palace, known as The Audience, between the Queen and each Prime Minister respectively for 60 years, where the topics discussed are not revealed.
