With theatre/drama educator Marina Katsari
16/3, 10.00-11.30, 12.00-13.30,Embassy of Ireland
a ‘’The Cyprus Oscar Wilde Festival’’ event
Where does friendship start and finish? When and where do we have to say ‘’no’’, even if this costs a friendship? What does a real friend really mean? Through his realistic tale ‘’The Devoted Friend’’, the great Irish writer Oscar Wilde invites younger and older children to reflect and form their own stance. Theatre/drama educator Marina Katsari guides children in a world of values which land on the Embassy of Ireland premises. Through an experiential workshop which creatively combines storytelling and theatre/drama in education techniques , children get to understand them and incorporate them in their everyday life as an integral part of it.
The 2 experiential workshops take place in the frame of ‘’The Cyprus Oscar Wilde Festival’’ which is co-organised by the Embassy of Ireland in Cyprus.
The workshops are addressed to children of 4th, 5th and 6th class of primary school and they will be implemented in Greek.
The participation in the workshops is free of charge.
