The war forced them both to move - Kypros from north to south and Murat from south to north. When Murat returns from his leave to the village, he brings to Kypros a gift from his home, a family photo, which evokes his own gosts. Inside the photo is his killed father and the girl he loved. When Murat suggests they each take a secret trip on the 'other side', Kypros accepts without thinking of the consequences.
