The Terezín Requiem
Pancyprian Lyceum of Larnaca
A powerful story by Josef Bor based on the real-life experiences of the author in the Terezín concentration camp in which many Jewish artists were assembled. A young conductor decides to undertake Verdi’s Requiem with the motley crew of artists available to him. His passion for this monumental work and his struggle to perfect it is set amidst the backdrop of the horrors of concentration camp life, as he loses many of his performers to the inevitable.
