Theatre Workshop for Children in English
Eidekanou Theatre is organizing a theatre workshop for children (ag.6-11) on Saturday 25th October from 16:00-18:00 at Praktoreio (19, Nikitara str, Ag. Omologites). The workshop will be held in English, but every child is welcome whether English is their mother tongue or not.
Through games and theatre activities, we will experiment with culinary objects and materials in order to create an imaginary kitchen where anything can happen. Elements such as improvisation, accuracy, playfulness, rhythm and physicality, spontaneity, freedom to experiment, trial and error methods in the process of mastering one’s art, can be both found in theatre and culinary activities. The objective of the workshop is for children to understand and find meaning in everyday routines and familiar spaces by stimulating their imagination in a collaborative environment.
The workshop will include activities such as:
● new inventive uses of kitchen objects
● becoming a vegetable
● improvising a recipe
● cooks out of control
● transforming kitchen materials to music and rhythm
