Trio Errant
Lee Blackmore (guitar) Nathaniel Butler (drums) Colin Somervell (bass)
Formed in early 2009 Trio Errant have been on a slow burn for the past year, mainly learning and playing from the standard and classic jazz repertoire ranging from Charlie Parker through Monk up to Wes Montgomery and Coltrane.
With a residency at the famous Gladstone Pub in Borough (of Adam Beattie and School of Imagination fame), the trio has had the space and time to shed and now, in due time, has come up with a score of original material which reflects the progress so far. Drawing from the tradition of the guitar trio, past and present, and incorporating the sensibilities of each member, Trio Errant deliver an organic sound, swinging and free.
