Two flutes and one piano
Virginie Bove (flute), Savvas Christodoulou (flute) and Gergana Georgieva (piano) will present at Technopolis 20, a unique recital for two flutes and piano based on music works of W.F. Bach, C. Debussy, Ph. Gaubert, F. Borne and F.Doppler, on Wednesday, 14th of March at 20:00.
The recital will include W.F. Bach flute duet no.1 for 2 flutes which is known for its charming dialogues between the two melodic instruments. The concert will also feature two masterpieces “L’apres midi d’une faune” by C. Debussy and the ‘’Fantasia Brillante’’ by F. Borne. Divertissement Grec for two flutes and piano a beautiful composition by Ph. Gaubert will be followed and the program concludes the well-known duet by F. Doppler for two flutes and piano.
The exceptional corporation between these two flutists with their unique sound will offer you a beautiful journey from Baroque era through 20th century music with the accompaniment of Gergana’s Georgieva.

A few words about the musicians
Virginie Bove was born in 1977 in Paris. Her interest and love for music started at an early age and lead her to begin studying the flute at eleven years old. She had the opportunity to study with some brilliant flutists in France and abroad, including M. Beaucoudray, M. Debost, M. Dufour, C. Lefèbvre, P. Dumail, P. Bernold and G. Alirol. Virginie completed her studies attaining first prizes from the Conservatoire of Paris and of Saint-Maur and won in parallel several national competitions. In 1999, she had her debut as a soloist by performing Lipkin’s Flute Concerto, European Premiere. Between 1995 and 2000, she was the Principal Flutist of Paris Sorbonne Symphony Orchestra under the direction of J. Grimbert and performed in many venues in Europe and in United States of America. By 2000, Virginie Bove established herself as a freelance Flute and Piccolo player, working with remarkable conductors. Since 2005, she is the Sub-Principal Flute player in the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. The chamber music always occupied a significant part of her activities; she performed and recorded world premiere compositions especially made for her. She is the founder of Evohe Wind Quintet and has been collaborating with other musicians regularly.

Savvas Christodoulou was born in Limassol where he began his musical studies at a young age. In 2005 he moved to Prague to study flute performance in the Prague National Conservatory from where he graduated in 2010. In the same year he was accepted in Utrecht Conservatory to study with world famous flute soloist Aldo Baerten. He obtained his Bachelor degree on flute performance and education with honors in 2012. In addition he studied piccolo with Gudrun Bourel and Baroque performance with Mr. Wilbert Hazelzet. In 2015 he obtained his Master degree in flute performance on stages. He participated in several Masterclasses worldwide with famous flutists such as Sir James Galway, E. Pahud, W. Bennett, P.L Graf, M. Bellavance, S. Milan, D. Bouriakov etc. He was a member of the Symphony orchestra of Prague Conservatoire and Utrecht as well. He appears regularly in flute recitals and chamber music concerts in The Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece and Cyprus. Currently he is a guest member of Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and the founder of Quintus Wind Quintet. He appears regularly with Commandaria Orhcestra (Cyprus) and he enjoys a performing career as a soloist and chamber musician.
Gergana Georgieva was born in the city of Burgas in Bulgaria. At the age of six she takes piano lessons and music theory with Isidora Silvestrova and at the age of ten, she is accepted in «Pancho Vladigerov», music school of Burgas. During her studies, she stands out and awarded at various seminars, concerts and competitions including the 16th Competition for performance of Bulgarian professional music "Varban Varbanov" were she won 1st prise. In 2002 she performs, S. Prokofiev’s 1 st concert for piano and orchestra, accompanied by Burgas Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Ivan Kojuharov. She continues her studies at the National Music Academy of Sofia “Pancho Vladigerov”, attending piano classes with Stella Dimitrova – Maistorova and Ilia Chernaev. During her studies in the Academy, she participates in concerts performing Mozart, Beethoven and Schumann concertos, accompanied by Sofia’s Academic Symphony Orchestra. She participates in National competitions of Champer Music with piano trio winning 2 nd prise for performing a Bulgarian music piece and 1 st prise for performing Austrian music pieces. She participates in the Contemporary Music Festival “pianissimo”, where she performs preludes and fugues of D. Shostakovich and R. Shchedrin. Gergana attends various master classes with distinguished pianists, such as Paolo Police, Cyprien Katsaris etc. Since 2008 she resides and works in Cyprus where she continues to participate in concerts and presentations, in collaboration with Cypriot and foreign artists, as well as with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra
