Utopias - Panayiotis Pasantas
Panayiotis Pasantas invites you to his exhibition “Utopias.”
The artist says:
With the Utopias exhibition, I seek to present an elusive world, a different world or, perhaps better put, another reality. The idea that everything we strive to live is created through art. The imaginary world with each one of us is realised through these works. A reality that reaches the ideal. Although the works present my own world, the viewer can recognise their own experience through them.
I use white stoneware clay because it is reminiscent of something archaic and clean. The absence of colour and other elements create a clear figure and movement.
Panayiotis studied sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts under Professor Papayiannis. He also studied graphic design at Frederic University in Nicosia. He also participated in many festivals and symposiums in Cyprus and abroad, and many solo and group exhibitions. He has won numerous sculpture competitions and his work can be found in many spaces in Cyprus and Greece. Recent works include the bust of Glafkos Clerides at DISY, the relief of Andi Hadjicosti at the Dias Media Group and the Poet’s Park, and the bust of Spyros Kyprianou in Engomi.
