Vakia Stavrou - Profile
The composer and performer of the Portuguese “Sozinha” (Sony 2003), the song that touched the hearts of the audience of many European radio stations, returns at Axiothea to give us a sense of its new personal album, with her own lyrics and music. Vakia Stavrou will perform new songs in Greek, French and Portuguese, some of which have already been presented to the public in her concerts in Paris and Lisbon.
“The discovery from Cyprus”, as the artist was recently referred to by the leading Portuguese radio station “Radio Clube”, will also takes us – as she usually does – on a musical journey to Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, Italy, and France, through popular and much-loved songs by Jacques Brel, Manos Hadjidakis, Astor Piazzola, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Manos Loizos, Attik and others.
