Vasilis Michaelides, 100 years since his death
Vasilis Michaelides is considered by many and often referred to as the national poet of Cyprus.
In this event, 100 years since his death, poetry by Vasilis Michaelides set to music by Larkos Larkou will be interpreted by the popular Greek singers Vasilis Lekkas and Petros Gaitanos together with important Cypriot artists such as Kostas Hatzichristodoulou, Michalis Hatzimichael, Kyriakos Mappouras, Elli Kyriakidou, Niyazi Kızılyürek and Atys. The performers will be accompanied by Commandaria orchestra under the direction of Francis Guy.
