Visitors from Australia
An exhibition of diversified material, created by archaeologists and artists who have taken part in the expeditions of the University of Sidney that brought to light the Hellenistic-Roman theatre of Nea Pafos. The most ancient theatre in Cyprus, used for theatrical and other performances from 300 BC until its ruin by earthquakes in 365 AD, was the motive for those conducting the excavations to create a large collection of original copies, art books and photographs of great Australian photographers, who have been inspired by the cultural heritage of Pafos.
Curated by Professor Diana Wood Conroy and Dr. Craig Barker.
