Waterblack

The award-winning Waterblack return from the UK to perform live at Entexno Music Club in Limassol.

Waterblack are currently promoting the re-release of their album Orem, recorded at SoundScape Studios, and will also be performing all their latest material.

Waterblack was formed in 1996 by five friends in Cyprus performing at venues across the island. Of the original five, Andreas Economides and Chris Charalambides still form the core of the band. Waterblack relocated to London in 1998 and in 2006 began recording their first studio album called Orem at SoundScape Studios in Limassol. The album included songs written from as early as 1996 through to 2005. It was released in 2007 and in the same year received awards for production, lyrics, vocals and mood. During 2007, Jonny Vatikiotis (Guitar) and Marco Economides (Drums) joined Waterblack on a permanent basis, having previously worked with the band on various recordings. In 2009, Byron Athinodorou (Bass) also joined, and the band began working on new material for their second album as well as a new studio version of Orem due to be released at the end of 2011.
