Wilde Conversations
This year, in a celebrating mood alpha square returns to their English-speaking audience, having chosen none other than the “Professor of Aesthetics”, the literary genius that is Oscar Wilde.
In “Wilde Conversations”, four actors will perform the sharpest, most rich and entertaining dialogues from four Wilde plays:
The Importance of Being Earnest, An Ideal Husband, A Woman of No Importance and Salomé.
There will be only 12 performances inside a space that reflects "the importance of aesthetics", a code that Wilde religiously supported. On both the first and the ground floor of Point Centre for Contemporary Art, spectators will enjoy Wilde’s works along with red or white wine from La Maison du Vin, whilst actors will be accessorised by woven designs of Joanna Louca.
