Wind's Stories
The Children's Philharmonic Society of Paphos presents a number of concert series at Technopolis 20, ideal for children and family. The first family concert entitled “Wind’s Stories: Wind instruments of the symphony orchestra” will take place on Sunday, 25th of February at 4pm.
The concerts will give the opportunity to children to learn about the different families of the musical instruments of the symphony orchestra, the history of their origin and the peculiarities of each specific instrument.
The first concert will present the wind instruments, where in a live performance the audience will listen to flute (Maria Avraam), oboe (Klaus Storm) and bassoon (Evangelos Christodoulou) accompanied by the piano (Natalia Lezedova), through a story (in Russian and English). For a more bight and emotional perception of music by children, most of the musical compositions will be accompanied by thematic video series.
Works to be performed by G. Faure, E. Köhler, J. Andersen, B. Labate, A. Owen, M. Hadjidakis, Ph. Gaubert.
