Opus 39 Gallery presents ‘With their Honey and Stinger’, new collection of artwork by Maria Hadjittofi.
Maria Hadjittofis’ new work will be presented by Dr. Nadia Anaxagorou, Art Theorist, on Tuesday, 26 March 2019 at 7.30p.m.
EMBROIDERED PAINTINGS
The thread passes through History, holds onto tradition, orthodoxy and memory. The needle pierces the heart first and then the canvas. Extracts the bees from the poem by Pantelis Michanikos. Creates shapes. Each shape full of bees with their honey and stinger. Shapes - white, clean, for each glance to lay on its own colour, its own sentiment. - George Charitonidis
