Women of the Year Awards 2008
The magazine Madame Figaro organizes the awards “Women of the Year 2008”, sponsored by Cytamobile-Vodafone, to honor the women who stood out for their contribution to the society of Cyprus. 7,500 readers of the magazine voted to declare the winners in 11 categories. Guest Stars from Cyprus and abroad, and of course the candidates, will illuminate the Strovolos Municipal Theater, in an event full of surprises.
All eyes, however, will turn to Anna Vissi, who will present for the first time live her album “Forbidden”. Together with Anna Vissi the American producer of her album, Greg Ladyani, of the record company Maple Jam, who will travel directly from Los Angeles specifically for the awards. The group Kokkina Halia (Red Carpets) and Lucas Giorkas from the Greek X-Factor will also participate.
Presenters of this event will be two men, the known actors Panagiotis Athanasiou and Marios Bougiouris.
All the net proceeds from the tickets of the event will be donated to the institution which will be choosen by the Woman who will win the award for the category “Social Contribution”
