Yamandu Costa - Guitar Recital
Yamandu Costa was born in Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where he began his guitar studies with his father at the age of seven. Later, he perfected his technique with Lúcio Yanel, an Argentine virtuoso who was then settled in Brazil. At the age of 17, he played at the Circuito Cultural Banco do Brasil in São Paulo – an event produced by the Tom Brazil studio. From that day onwards, he has been recognized as one of the most gifted guitar players of Brazil.
The deep intimacy between him and his 7-string guitar leave audiences in awe. Yamandu recreates the magic of music – once he touches his guitar, the sound travels through his body and soul and is almost miraculously transformed. One of the greatest geniuses of Brazilian music of all times, young Yamandu Costa is also a fascinating composer and arranger.
Tickets will be available at the entrance half an hour before or at the Pharos Trust during working hours (8:00am - 5:00pm)
