Yianneis

Yianneis have been around in the Greek music scene since the spring of 2009 and have performed live in various concert venues all over the country. They made a difference immediately after their appearance, due to their individual sound and performing style. Yianneis consist of seven musicians-performers who take their audience to a journey of feelings, using unique music selections and theatrical approaches. Their stage presence is characterized by the pure instinct style of performance of the band members. This concept was brought to the group by the singer Labros Filippou who is also an experienced actor-performer whose bio includes appearances on experimental theatre and cinema. Yianneis’ music cannot be categorized in one particular music style as their influences are extensive, ranging widely from indie rock and pop to world and local traditional music. Having covered some very distinctive songs, the band is currently planning the release of its debut album which will include its own songs.
