A Greek music evening with Zeibekiko rhythms
Technopolis 20 presents a music evening with Zeibekiko rhtythms on Tuesday, 11th of September 2018, at 8.30pm in the garden, with Sotiris and Evagoras Karagiorgis and Stelios Kakogiannis.
It was said that Zeibekiko quenches. The archaic dance of Thrace, which was transferred by the Zeiberks in Asia Minor and was resettled in Greece by the refugees of 1922, slowly gives its place to other kinds of younger dances. However, it remains for many, the most prominent Greek dance of the 20th century.
Through its polymorphic forms, Zeibekiko has given to the wider social environment its unique and distinct genus. A lonely dance with many variations with which all Greek composers have dealt and written, from the old (Papazoglou, Tountas, Markow, Papaioannou, Tsitsanis, Chiotis etc) to the younger (Hadjidakis, Theodorakis, Xarhakos, Savvopoulos, Moutsis, Mikroutsikos, etc).
