Ziliarogatos
The Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, in collaboration with Lefkosiazo, presents the film version of Georgios Roussos’ play “The Lover Cometh” with music composed by Manos Chatzidakis. This comedy of errors starring Vasilis Logothetides in a hilarious role closes the summer cinema circle for July as we renew our date with Faneromeni 17 in August.
Work obligations don’t allow soap entrepreneur Potis Antonopoulos to take proper care of his wife, Lela. Therefore Lela, adopting the well-tried recipe proposed by her cousin Mina, pretends to cheat on her husband so as to arouse his jealousy and finally attract his attention. Potis and his best man, the fantasizer Markos, start looking for Lela’s supposed lover, their suspicions turning against the charming gentleman in the upper floor apartment, Spyros, who is married to a terribly jealous woman. They set up a trap to catch them in the act but this only makes things worse. Happily, though, the situation will soon straighten out as the couple regain their peace and quiet.
