Antigone
Choreographer Machi Dimitriadou Lindahl, four performers and two musicians tell the story of Sophocles’ heroine, Antigone, narrated through the language of body and music. With these tools, they diffuse the emotional power of the play and transfer its anti-authoritarian messages. Antigone, through Sophocles’ words “I was born to join in love, not hate”, chooses the path that is defined by moral law, denouncing at the same time the arrogance of power and authority.
